Retreating
03:26
|
|||
I don't mind her wild, wild ways
or the tone of her voice soft and bright when she asked me for space.
I don't mind her glacial pace, or how my love stands out front but you crush it under your weight.
Retreating, i'm along for the ride chew me up, spit me out like moraine.
Retreating, ablating your mass as the snow comes to pass over me.
I don't mind her crystalic state
or the scrape from the firn coarsely burned when I enter her space.
I don't mind her crevacious ways, or how my love forms a bridge you collapse it using your strength.
Retreating, i'm along for the ride chew me up, spit me out like moraine.
Retreating, ablating your mass as the snow comes to pass over me.

The Lady
03:10
|
|||
The Sleeping Lady waits,
shrouded in a blanket of white, that changes with the light.
We can see her, we can feel her off in the distance underneath the dancing lights
a lady silhouetted her curves against the sky
do you think she's lonely?
Does she know we watch her sleep?
Does she know we listen to her dream?
We follow her footsteps, we follow her footsteps in the snow.
We follow her footsteps, we follow her footsteps all the way home.

Babehouse
03:51

The fire is warm
I can smell the smoke in my hair
It gets in my eyes
It forms beauty everywhere
i'm not afraid of the dark
we've all been lovers before
because we live in a small town, with a big sky.
Look up
if we danced half as much as the stars we'd be breathing new life
Look up
see the world it still turns and you are part of the light
Our boots melt the snow
burrowing a new home
hardly dressed for outside
as we hear the bass thump inside
i'm not afraid of the dark
we've all been lovers before
because we live in a small town, with a big sky.
Look up
if we danced half as much as the stars we'd be breathing new life
Look up
see the world it still turns and you are part of the light

Sparkle & Moss
04:07
|
|||
Yellows purples pinks and blues,
The color of her eyes in the summertime
Red yellow orange green skin and fur,
the way the light looks when it hits your thighs
Stark white brown black sparkle and moss
how I adore you when you sleep
spreading your arms so graciously
growing up taller than me fireweed
all your colors light up light up before me
as if to say let's dance
all your textures drip down drip down upon me
and earthly crowned romance
And I don't want to leave her here
but I don't know if I can stay
It's the greed of men to have all of her
leaves us all with empty hands
Yellows purples pinks and blues
The color of her eyes in the summertime
Red yellow orange green skin and fur
the way the light looks when it hits your thighs
Stark white brown black sparkle and moss
how I adore you when you sleep
spreading your arms so graciously
growing up taller than me fireweed
all your colors light up light up before me
as if to say let's dance
all your textures drip down drip down upon me
and earthly crowned romance

White Winter Boreal
04:47
|
|
||
i'm walking in the snow
my feet crunch the earth
it echos through the trail
every spruce repeats the sound
I am not alone.
My breath creates a haze
streetlights flicker and die
my legs are turning numb
I hear myself 10 paces behind
I am not alone.
White Winter Boreal, her spirit beside me.
What can I offer her to prove, that I am a friend.
What witches have we loved in these woods?
What witches have we loved in these woods?
What witches have we burned in these woods?
What witches have we lost.
